Some of our projects is a recently-completed website for the Boat Safety Scheme which allows boat operators to register and self-certify boats against standard boat tests and provides intuitive wizard-based workflows that simplify some of its very complex processes. The website has been developed in such a way that an online/offline Mobile application could be developed to integrate with the same back end should there be sufficient demand. The field trials were successful and the site has since gone live.
One of our mobile platforms called TickAudit is now preparing for customer beta testing. It is a platform that consists of a mobile application, a central data store and a web dashboard. It allows mobile users to carry out different Health and Safety procedures with data feeding back to the central data store. The application is fully functional in offline mode, with data synchronizing automatically when network coverage is available. The dashboard allows a company to manage users and the procedures that they are able to carry out on their mobile devices, as well as providing access to the data collected and the results.
There is a common theme across both of these things ... Mobile!
Mobile is already here, and at Peoples Systems, we are aware that it is not just for games and personal tools, but for real-world business tools and this is our focus.
We also believe that NoSQL is a perfect fit for these types of sites and applications. We believe in open source.
And like we say at Peoples Systems, `The Future Is Open´.
